Whistle blowing is the term used to define an employee/a person who publicly exposes the wrong doing, dishonest, immoral, or the illegal activities occurring in a government department, a public or may be with his or her organization. and that employee/person is called whistle blower. The declared misconduct may be classified in many ways, for-example a violation of a law, rule, regulation or a direct threat to public interest , such as fraud, health/safety violations and corruption.
The Whistle blowers may make their allegations internally(i.e to other people within organization) or externally (i.e. to to the media or to the law enforcement agencies). For-example if a company is illegally dumping chemicals in a protected environment or if a hospital is not using proper disposable medical equipment or if an accountant is misconducting in the process of recording or reporting, a whistle blowers may tell the proper authorities or falling that, the media to stop the misconducts.
Whistle blowing is not only permissible but expected when a company is harming the society. The issue is not one of disloyalty to the company, but of whether the whistle blower has an obligation to society if blowing the whistle was bring him retaliation.
